fanon always has post-reveal adrien channeling chat and getting super cocky around mari and you know that i love that along with the rest but please for a moment consider the opposite 

  • adrien finding out that marinette is ladybug and getting so shy
  • so shy
  • because here is this amazing girl who is also his lady and holy crap how can he live up to that
  • so he starts stuttering around her and not knowing how to act. chat isn’t nearly as flirty with ladybug as he used to be and it’s just AWKWARD
  • at least for him
  • because lets be real marinette wouldn’t help at ALL
  • instead of ladybug getting all shy around chat she’s flirty as HELL
  • bc she finds out that adrien, her crush, her perfect adrien, is actually just her dork of a partner. and it makes being around both of them so much simpler. 
  • so one day lb and chat are fighting an akuma
  • same old same old except
  • mari says something sultry
  • and adrien just goes RED IN THE FACE like HOLY CRAP who knew he was an ear blusher
  • and mari sees this and just says, with a sly smile and faux worried eyebrows, “what’s wrong? ladybug got your tongue?”
  • and chat is just DYING
  • because?? ? ? yes!! ! and he doesn’t know how to DEAL WITH IT
  • with HER
  • he knows once upon a time chat would have unflinchingly flirted back and dropped some pun
  • but he is just red and stunned and stuttering and ladybug just chuckles
  • then back at school it’s the exact same
  • mari takes to leaning forward and whispering jokes and stuff into adrien’s ear
  • and sometimes they’re cute and funny and simple
  • but sometimes they’re sultry af and dangerously flirty
  • and nino or alya will come back from the bathroom and adrien is red all down his neck and chest and his hands are covering his face
  • and marinette is just leaing back in her chair, arms crossed, just. smug.

AU where Chat and Ladybug don’t communicate that much and Chat just figures stuff out himself. I in no way mean they don’t like each other, I mean Chat just being curious and experimenting and finding stuff out about the miraculous, while Ladybug is more careful with secrets and perhaps hasn’t figured some stuff out yet. Or maybe she’s translating the book

Chat: If I give Plagg more Camembert, don’t exert myself as much, and fight the change could the transformation last longer?

This thought, after trial and error, leads to Chat’s transformation lasting for 15 minutes while Ladybug is restricted to the 5 until Chat trains her. 

Chat: If I imagined my staff being different or tried different trigger words could I do more minor but broader destruction?

Leads to Chat Noir being able to weaken multiple structures but not destroy anything completely, have it more precise so doesn’t destroy full object, or travel through object a to object b

Chat: If I gave Plagg cheeses with different ingredients could that change what powers I get as chat?

Through lots and lots of trial and error, he eventually discovers a new power up not in the book which gives the power to reverse or nullify other miraculous’ powers meaning he can unakumatise people, stop lucky charm happening, or fix the damage from his own cataclysm. He uses it once but forgot to write it down and can’t remember what herbs he used

Chat: If I said catatonic would that do anything? 

Despite his wishes this does not make people unable to move. Did get him punched in the face by an akuma when he tried it though.

Chat: Would ‘catcall’ get me cats?

He tries it. Is swarmed by cats. Akuma doesn’t attack as doesn’t want to hurt kittens. Chat can’t escape the cats now. He now has 20 and struggled to explain this to his father. Marinette has the other 10 but they just lie on her balcony all day. Her parents welcomed them

Chat: If I can call my lady, can I call others?

He tries and Hawkmoth fumbles, surprised by his cane ringing. He looks into the gem where Chat is holding batton at a distance just catching it before it fell because he was not expecting that to work. There is silence for a moment. Before Hawkmoth can speak Chat hangs up. 

He totally does not then use this new knowledge to prank call Hawkmoth or insult his akumas. That’s the last thing he would do. That’d be immature….he does and teaches Queen Bee the trick so she prank calls as well, mostly just insulting Hawkmoth. Hawkmoth learns to not pick up.

Chat: If I broke the ring a little could I use the chipped part for minor powerups in everyday life?

A small chip in the metal happens and Adrien carries this in his pocket for a day while the ring is safely at home. Plagg is able to travel where he wants and can mostly communicate with Adrien. Adrien cannot do a full transformation without the ring but he is more nimble, finds it easy to break things, has better vision in the dark, and can summon his baton for a few seconds. Down side he has ears but those are easily covered with a hat. Marinette makes him one, everyone is happy. 

Possible additional downside Chat Noir form slightly weakened as miraculous counts as broken, it takes a toll on his body, and as chipped Plagg can’t talk as freely to Adrien and sometimes isn’t seen/heard (like bad reception it will occasionally just fail). Plagg cries when Adrien can’t hear him and is panicked trying to fix the miraculous all while apologising to Plagg and promising if the little disaster kwami comes back he can have all the cheese.
